"I purchased this out of need for a project that was in process. I wasn't sure how to drill the shelf holes in a straight line until I ran across this jig. Using it was relatively easy and I DID read the directions first. The only problem I ran into was not clamping the jig tightly enough for the first set of holes; they did not come out straight because the jig wandered. That was the only instruction that was not specific. After clamping it properly, it worked beautifully."

Quick and easy!
"Works great as intended. I pulled the oring off the alignment tool because it didn’t fit in the jig with it but that didn’t effect how the tool worked. Only thing I wish they would do is set up some type of slide or adjustable attachment so you could offset the further away from the front of the cabinet. I just cut a wood spacer that worked fine ."

Q&A
Can the old discontinued one attach together with the newer model?
No, the older and newer will not attach together.
Is there an advantage over the 1/4” VS the 5MM bit with the shelf pin jig? I am not sure which one is better suited for my projects.
When choosing between the two, you will want to check which size pins are available at your local hardware store. One size is not better then the other.
Can the drill guides be changed or replaced individually?
The drill guides are molded in when the Jig is created. They are not replaceable. If you experience troubles, please get ahold of us a technicalsupport@kregtool.com and we will help you out.

The Shelf Pin Jig also includes a dual-position, adjustable fence for custom hole placement, a locating pin for quick and accurate spacing reference, a jig extender that lets you connect multiple Shelf Pin Jigs together for high-speed production work, and an ultra-sharp 1/4" (6mm) brad-point bit with depth collar that can be stored on the bottom side of the Shelf Pin Jig when not in use.
Hardened-Steel Drill Guides
Unlike thin and flexible guides, the hardened-steel drill guides of the Kreg Shelf Pin Jig ensure each and every hole you drill is perfectly straight and true. Plus, all Kreg hardened-steel drill guides come with a lifetime warranty.
Perfect for Building or Adding Holes to Existing Furniture
The compact size of the Shelf Pin Jig makes it perfect for adding additional shelf pin holes in existing furniture, as well as for building projects from scratch. Need more length for additional speed? Connect multiple Shelf Pin Jigs together with the included Jig Extender.
Tool-Free Quick-Switch Fence
The built-in Quick-Switch Fence allows you to set your pin holes 1" (25mm) or 2" (50mm) from the edges of your project. The fence can be easily removed and switched to the other side of the jig, or removed completely when you need to work inside a confined space.
Standard Hole Size and Spacing
Kreg hardened-steel drill guides are centered on standard 32mm spacing. The jig comes complete with a 1/4" (6mm) drill bit that fits commonly available shelf-pins. A 5mm drill bit is also available separately.
